So, you’re ready to become a Hotspot Host?
If you’ve reached this stage where you’re ready to become a Helium miner host, congratulations! You’re obviously cool enough to have heard of the Helium network and intrepid enough to want a piece. We love that.
We’re going to continue as if you’ve done your research, you know what’s up and you’re ready for the final stages to become a Helium hotspot host. To become a hotspot affiliate of Helium Mining UK, you’ll need to submit an application and be approved. Don’t worry, we’re not the DVLA; an application is super easy. All you need is a smart phone, WiFi connection, and to know your phone number and email address.
With said smart phone, take plenty of pictures of the exterior of your house/flat/cardboard box/whatever you live in. In order to improve your chances of being accepted, here’s what we’re looking for.
What Are We Looking For?
First, location. As you know, the Helium Network rewards hotspots that provide value to the network. Therefore, if you’re in a heavily hotspot-dense area, you may need to get creative and find somewhere else to place the miner. Does your Nan already have one?
Secondly, we’re looking for ideal placement. If you’re ahead of the rest of the world and you’re already living in a nuclear fallout shelter deep underground, we’re sorry buddy, you won’t be able to mine HNT from down there and you’ll be rejected. Height and a clear line of sight is ideal. Try and show us as many spots on your house as you can.

To Conclude…
As lovely as we are, we need to make sure that there’s a reasonable profits return on each location that our hotspot miners are set up in. I mean, we’re giving away free hotspots, mining advice and giving a cut of the mining rewards; we don’t think being fairly strict with criteria is too unreasonable.
As such, it’s important to bear this criteria in mind when applying and taking pictures.
Once you’re accepted, we’ll deliver the hotspot to you for installation. Proper installation is key, but don’t worry, we won’t leave you in the dark on this. We don’t just sit back and play tinder-swipe with applications. We study each application, apply our HNT mining formula and strategy that gives us an estimated forecast. That way, we’ll know exactly which placement is best for your location. With each accepted application is an installation instruction recommendation.
